Engine Room Systems Inspection
SEATRIAL REPORT
| Inspection Item | Observation |
|---|---|
| Engine Start | Both engines started without excessive cranking. |
| Exhaust Appearance | Very minimal smoke for engines of this age. |
| Cooling Water Exhaust | Adequate and normal. |
| Instrumentation | Engine instruments operated within normal limits at idle, cruise, and WOT. |
| Steering | Responsive and smooth. |
| Throttle Operation | Needs adjustment for WOT synchronization. |
| Transmission Operation | Both transmissions shifted smoothly with no excessive noise. |
| Backdown Test | Satisfactory. |
| Rudder Linkage | Both rudder linkages operated smoothly with no leaks. |
| Oil Leaks | Oil leaks detected at port transmission, starboard governor, and valve covers. |
WOT TEST
Wide Open Throttle Test:
Starboard engine produced minor smoke at WOT, however smoke cleared immediately upon throttle reduction. No overheating observed and both engines transitioned smoothly through RPM range.
